Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Craftsman Industries, Inc., doing business as Craftsman Kitchens (“Craftsman,” “we,” “us”), collects, uses, and protects personal information in connection with our business application at app.craftsmankitchens.com (the “Service”) and the communications we send in the course of our cabinetry design, fabrication, delivery, and installation work.

2. Information we collect

We collect only what we need to do the work and communicate about it:

  • Contact information — name, company, job title, mailing address, email address, and telephone and mobile numbers, provided by you or by the builder, designer, or homeowner we are working with on a project.
  • Project information — job site addresses, schedules, drawings, specifications, quantities, pricing, and related records.
  • Message content — the emails and text messages exchanged between us, including delivery and installation notifications and your replies, together with the date, time, and delivery status of each message.
  • Account and technical information — for people who hold a Craftsman account: sign-in credentials, session records, and technical details such as IP address, browser identification, and timestamps.
  • Electronic signature records — where the Service’s electronic-signature feature is used, the information described in our Terms of Service, including signature images and the audit trail attached to each document.

We do not collect precise device location from the people we message. Where a Craftsman employee shares their location to generate an arrival estimate, that is described in section 5.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to quote, schedule, produce, deliver, and install work; to coordinate deliveries and site readiness; to send transactional notifications about your project; to operate and secure the Service; to keep business and accounting records; and to comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell personal information.

4. Text messages (SMS and MMS)

Craftsman sends text messages to coordinate deliveries and installations — for example, notifying a builder or homeowner that our crew is en route and giving an estimated arrival time so the job site can be ready.

Consent. We text only people who have given us their mobile number for project communication and have agreed to receive text messages from us. Consent is recorded against that contact in our system, with the date and the person who recorded it. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of purchasing any product or service from Craftsman.

No sharing of mobile information. We do not sell, rent, lease, or share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with any third party for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes under any circumstances. Mobile numbers are disclosed only to the messaging provider that transmits our texts on our behalf, and only so that the message can be delivered to you.

What we send. Transactional, project-related messages only: delivery and installation arrival notices and estimated arrival times, schedule changes, site-readiness coordination, and replies to your questions. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on the activity on your project. Most recipients receive a small number of messages around each scheduled delivery or installation.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Craftsman does not charge for these messages; your mobile carrier’s standard rates apply.

How to stop messages. Reply STOP to any message to be removed from text messaging. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and no further texts after that. To rejoin, reply START or ask your Craftsman contact to re-enable messaging for your number. Reply HELP for help, or contact us using the details in section 11.

Delivery. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. If a delivery notification matters to your schedule, please confirm by phone.

5. Arrival estimates and employee location

When a Craftsman driver or installer sends an arrival estimate, our application reads their device’s location at the moment they choose to send the message, uses it to calculate driving time to the job site, and includes the resulting estimate in the message. Location is read only at that moment, only at the employee’s deliberate action, and is not tracked continuously or in the background. Recipients of the message receive the estimated arrival time only — never our employee’s location.

6. How we share information

We share personal information only as follows:

  • Service providers that operate parts of our business on our behalf — our messaging provider, email provider, hosting provider, and mapping and routing provider — each limited to what is needed to perform that function.
  • Project participants — builders, general contractors, designers, homeowners, and trades on your project, where sharing contact or schedule information is necessary to coordinate the work.
  • Professional advisers and legal compliance — our accountants, insurers, and attorneys, and where we are required to disclose information by law, subpoena, or court order, or to establish or defend legal claims.
  • Business transfer — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

7. Retention

We keep project records, contact records, and message logs for as long as needed to perform the work, to maintain our business and warranty records, and to meet legal and accounting requirements. Opt-out records are kept indefinitely so that we can continue to honor a request to stop messaging. Completed electronic-signature documents and their audit trails are retained as described in our Terms of Service.

8. Security

Access to the Service requires an account and is limited by role, so that people see only the information their work requires. Traffic to and from the Service is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold.

9. Your choices

You may ask us to correct your contact information, tell us how you prefer to be contacted, opt out of text messages at any time as described in section 4, or ask what personal information we hold about you and request its deletion. We will honor deletion requests except where we are required to retain records — for example, executed contracts, accounting records, and opt-out records. Contact us using the details in section 11.

10. Children

The Service is a business application and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
